Every single bite of this was heaven on earth. Nectarines. Baguette with goats cheese, tapenade, home grown spinach and a drizzle of olive oil. So colorful, flavorful, filling...just right for a very warm summer's evening.

Inspired by Nigel Slater's "The Kitchen Diaries", we are going to photograph dinner (or at least part of it) for one year. We're using this blog as a way to try & simplify the way we eat, buying as locally as possible (while still making the weekly Trader Joe's run) and as uncomplicated as possible. Sometimes it's going to be something as simple as a sandwich. Sometimes it'll be take-out pizza. But most of the time it'll be something worth eating & writing about.
A mama to two spirited boys under 5, wife to an amazing man with a sensitive soul. An English expat in the midwest. All about growing a family and nurturing these incredible children.
